for dualogic cars owners

hi,,,,,first i apologize for writing in english but my laptop doesn't have arabic letters,,,,i just bought a new dualogic grande punto and i have a kinda stupid question but i really need your help.......

when u want to park the car what do u do exactly??? and which position do u put the gear in??? iam asking coz i asked several people at omatra and they told me that u should place the gear at N and then lift the hand brake ,,,and this is what i'm doing but the car keeps beeping loudly after i shut the ignition????

and i saw in the dualogic catalog a warning that u should NEVER park the car at the N position,,,,, so what should i do???????? thanx in advance

PARKING THE CAR
To park safely, it is essential to engage 1st
gear or reverse (R) gear with your foot
on the brake pedal. If parking on a slope,
operate the brake pedal. It is also essential
to wait until the gear engaged disappears
from the reconfigurable multifunction
display before releasing the brake

هو المفروض تسيبها على الn بس بعد ما تطفى الموتور، يعنى تطفى الموتور وبعدين تجيب الn

طبعا مع كل نقلة للفتيس لازم تكون دايس على الفرامل.

as i told you mike, please read below:

When you are set to park then turn off the engine in the gear you are in i.e. 1st or rev. Do not put it in N. The vehicle has to be left in gear Once you have turned off the engine you can put it in N altho it will still be in gear as it should be.
Doing this will mean that when you start up you will already be in N. You must have your foot on the brake when you start up , starting up automatically puts the gearbox in N but if the lever is not in N you will get a beep warning.

thank u all for ur answers,,,, the weird thing is that it seems that the people at omatra didn't bother to read it's catalog before selling the car or else they wouldn't have told me this wrong info and i asked different people there to be sure and they all told me the same wrong answer ,,, so thank you all for your help.
