The recalls for the DSG does not mean that the DSG is a bad gearbox. Toyota did many recalls, does this mean nobody buy Toyota again? The important thing is how VW deals with the problem.
For the bad side (when this problem happens after end of warrante), VW warrante in Egypt & all countries is 2 years, but they have something called Good Will in year 3. This means that if I am a good customer (i do all car services on time & at VW dealership) & any problem happens in the car, then they can consider year 3 also under warrante. They can choose to pay 100% or 50% or 25% in that year 3 for any car problem that happens that is related to manufacturing problems.

bel nesba lel current experience after changing gear box, i did not have any problem with it, but after changing maybe i felt something strange in it for a while but now i do not feel it. when i try to drive fast from a low speed i felt as if the gear box is hesitant is to change to another gear or keep the same one. after a while i do not feel this anymore, or maybe i got used to it so i do not notice it anymore. i will try that experiment someone mentioned about putting it on gear 1 & pressing on gas & releasing & pressing again.... I will write my experience here after i do this to see if i have the same thing.
p.s. what i felt after changing the gear can be because maybe they updated the software for the gearbox as i feel the car drives & maybe even shifts faster now... mesh 3aref walahy, 7agarab washoof
