well... as far as lighter means volunrability to bending: it is not that simple... we are comparing a steel rim with aaloy rim so the material subject to comparison are different so weight can't be a judjment here

if we use weight for the steel rims only then you might be right but again... steel rims are not hard so even if they got bent they can be easly fixed

the case with alloys is different as weight means strenth and that is the most important thing you should be seeking in a rim when you are driving in this country

as far as weight and acceleration... it works a bit differently than just added weight to the weight of the overall car... you do force the engine to rotate that extra weight and thus it consumes more power than just adding the same weight to your cargo or so

this is exactly why their are performance flywheels where it is way lighter than OEM flywheels.

it is not just the lost weight that counts... it is the less weight the engine has to rotate and thus this mod makes the engine increase revs much faster than usual.

My car has stock 14" steel , I 've done arround 40 and thinking of getting me some nice rims by the time I reach 50 ( new tires anyways )
I couldn't find anywhere on the car what is the maximum size I could get
Should Get a 14" rims with wider base like most ppl suggested or should I get 15 ?

The current one installed are 14 165x55
and excuse my stupidness but does alloys/rims affect bodyroll ? I mean my car has a huge gap between the wheel an the caritself well getting bigger wheels would reduce bodyroll ? Or Should I go the lame way by cutting the springs themselves ??

and the ride is a bit HARSH right now , with alloys would that get harsher or softer ( to the ppl inside the cabin that is )
