I have a cheap car that is a lanos - I can buy a much better car - al hamdolelah
I remember when I bought my car the sales man wanted me to buy on installment (takseet) although I had cash money he tried to argue with me for some time to sell me on, he also tried to sell me an insurance policy & ..
I never go to the dealer to make any repairs or maintainance there I do it myself or the parts that are not easy fobr me I buy original spare parts & I let a good mechanic put them
I also use normal engine oil in my car even the air filter gets washed by a mix of warm water & persil
People give the chance for others to get their money...
They get a premium service but they pay for it ! & the choice is yours!

Ahmed i want a clearing from you on one main Point that you mentioned which is washing the air filter cause what i understand that if i am to wash it the fibers in it would go bad so for how long you have been doing that ?

Hi Mr. Ayman
I wash the filter element every 10,000 to 15000 kms. I do this in my Daewoo lanos & in my dad's Nissan Sunny
I think you can do this 4 or 5 times then it is advisable to throw the element because the element could get cut & in that case dirt could come inside your engine while you are unaware of that & in that case some damage could happen - you can add 1 drop of downy to make the fabric soft & in that case you can at least double the age of the filter element.
The cleaning process takes 5 minutes & then you leave the element to dry over night but offcourse you have to seal the air filter withe the element embedded there the correct way

Thank you for clearing that point and i did tried that last night after i read your post here and i left the filter to dry out till now but i need a clearing on one thing here when you say seal the filter with the element embedded so the element is what ?

ع سبيل المثال العربية المفروض بتنزل بكل الاوبشن دلوقتي الوكيل ينقص و يبيعها فرداني او فروق للسعر و تلاقي فئات اد كده لموديل واحد
يعني بدل ما يخلي الباور و التكييف و الكاسيت و الازاز الكهربا من الاساسيات في العربية خلاها حاجات اضافية

بيغير اسماء العربيات ع انها موديل مختلف زي الالتو الجديدة بدل ما تنزل باسم التو ينزلوها باسم سيلاريو

اللانسر الشارك اللي نازلة عندنا 2010 ديه نازلة 2008 برة
و غيره و غيره

في الحته دي بالذات الشعب المصري كلو بلا استثناء زبون عند التوكيل و الحكومه

I just wanted to make sure that we are on the same page here and thanks again for clearing that point to me and when i washed the filter it had dirt and it was badly black.

and no it's better and cleaner for sure and that's my second filter as i changed the first one at the dealer but actually after your post here i don't think i would need to change it again.
