I think I got what you mean but that brakes system is driving me nuts. I thought it might be the Servo that doesn't give suitable pressure to the rest of the wheels.or maybe the valves........I gave up,but i can give you the difference between ignorance and apathy if you still care
their are three issues with the brakes of those cars...
the first is the consistency of performance which degrades dramatically whenever you abuse the brakes... the brake fade is colossal and in most cases you will have very little to no brakes whatsoever
this is basically an issue with the rotor size as the OEM rotors are too small and will heat up rapidly under heavy braking thus causing the pads to be too soft and they won't be able to bite the rotors anymore... this translates into a spongy brake pedal with no braking effect and in extreme cases the pads will start to burn and smoke can usually be seen
the front brake upgrade that i did cured this issue completly... i have never got the brakes to fade since i have done the upgrade no matter how much i abused them... it happened once with one set of Japanese pads but it never happened with the OEM pads
the second issue is the pedal travel increase due to rear pads wear... you either have to recalibrate the rear pads on periodic basis or upgrade to disks which i have done
the third and most irritating issue for me now is the pedal response... for some reason you feel their is a "slack" in the pedal travel that doesn't go away no matter what you do
my guess is that we need a bigger master cylinder to overcome this issue unfortunately i have upgraded front calipers so my bigger master cylinder is still the OEM spec of the car... this can only be tested by using the 22 master on a non upgraded car
i don't think the servo is the issue here because we don't suffer from a stiff brake pedal, the pedal is smooth but it doesn't translate foot pressure into braking effect as fast as other cars.
