i have a friend who had a honda with a special-ordered racing engine that cost 10,000 le 7 years ago, and he makes it to hurgada on only 20 litres of gasoline

seems that you guys are using a different type of gasoline than the ones we use in our cars

the best fuel consumption in my previous honda civic was about 340 km/ 20 lites

not 600, are you sure that the car was not draged by another car :p

the same trip that you dont like with the same car took 90 litres of gasoline when driving 140-180km/hr most of the way eccept for the radar point near to alamein. not passomg 90 km/hr did only half a tank, tank is standard 20 gal. capacity

for sure no 4000 cc 6 cyl car would do 300km/20 litre, no manifacturer ever indicated such low fuel consumption, it would be a spec they would put in every advertizing for marketing

i am talking of a standard honda civic engine

and i think a RACE engine would be higher fuel consumption as it gives higher performance and more torque

what you think ?? i guess you would agree on that, strictly speaking

if you noticed I stated that it was odd because same car did the same trip and consumed±90 litres when drove140+km/hr. also race engines technologies are not fully revealed and yuo can enhance motor performance by changing the ECU, in australia they call it performance chip, and i've seen it there they swap to race and performance engines and trany and fuel consumption does reduce
enhancing a car engine performance is not only by modifying engine dimensions but also by enhancing engine electronics

not really to swap the IC of ECU, some times they just change the software,


i am a member also in the holden frontera forum,

they stated that the best consumption of it (3200 cc V6) were 190 km/ 20 litres, i am thinking there were a mis mesurement of the consumed litres during that trip

because the consumption can not simply be changed from 90 litres to 35 litres only by reducing the spped from 90 to 140 km/h

it seems you did not even bother to check the links i sent
BTW i checked the tank and its standard 20 gal
I told about what happened with me-which i stated to be ODD- and this would be the end of discussion for me regarding this subject
