الموضوع: هل C180 الشكل الجديد 2009 حتنــزل مصر ؟

maho if it has bluetooth, then it's Audio 20 system and they have to get the luxury multifunction steering wheel with 12 buttons..otherwise, no bluetooth..i'm surprised that they are selling a car for which they don't have even a catalog or clear specs! I asked them to write me down all the specs on a piece of paper before i pay on saturday, but i know that they don't care. if i pay now and then don't like the car later, they will simply return me back my money..this is something that can only happen in egypt:) i don't like the 318 so the C180 is my best option..r u using Arab bank deal? i'm comparing them to contact..thanks a lot for all your help and i really hope they r right about all those options

Regarding the information about the the blue efficiency here is what i think is right so that everybody gets the correct information keeping in mind that my source of info is from the mercedes site in USA and the site of AUTOCAR whose link was given by MR Hegazi:

1- there is bluetec and their is blue efficiency as well
2- blueTec is a new tecnology mercedes has made for improving the impact of Diesel Engines on the
environment
3-blue efficiency is as Mr Hegazi said it is for both diesel and gasoline engines. I would add that it is related to reducing the air resistance to improve fuel consumption by making the car more aerodynamic. but it is not a new technology in the engine.

I used the USA site for the technical info not for the type of models which is different since the americans are always into bigger engines in all cars since gas is half or less than half of that in europe.
(examples golf and jetta come with either 2.5 liter engines or 2.0 turbo which both are huge engines and extremely powerful, bmw starts with 325 and 525 and so on

thanks everyone for the valuable informations mentioned about this car which i think is the excellent choice and alf mabrouk to everyone who bought it and I will get one inshaa Allah when I return to egypt or a used bmw 5 series.

(hopefully someone can highlight a comparison between mercedes and bmw in egypt in terms of the following:

[align=left]I couldn’t agree more with Bassem that selling a car without clear specs is something that can only happen in Egypt. However, they didn’t force me or anyone else to buy it under these conditions. Bearing in mind that till this moment they didn’t officially announce the car. Therefore, if we want to get back the down payment, they will be happy to return it. So I think all we have to do is wait and see.
Now, speaking of unique and weird situation of the Egyptian market of vehicles, and to answer Annx111questions with regards, we all know that both cars MB and BMW get more or less the rating in terms of reliability& dependability. However, cost differs a bit from country to another. But Egypt again is different in when it comes to service and cost. In Egypt ONLY, BMW does not keep its value for long and when you buy it you know that the car will depreciate rapidly if you think of selling it. This is not the case with MB, as it (unlike no other car in the world) its value appreciates rather than depreciating after usage for some years. Also, in Egypt again, you can bargain the new BMW and get it a lower price than form different distributers rather than the dealer tag price. But it’s different with MB as you can NEVER get it cheaper than the declared tag price form any of the 3 distributers (MB sells their cars outside their 3 main distributers).
Finally, I think that service centers for MB are highly ranked in terms of customers’ satisfaction. You review this in relevant section of this MB & BMW of this great forum.[/align]

الاتنين زي بعض بس بتقل مع الموديلات الاحدث عشان التكنولوجيا بس اكيد احسن من العربيات التانية
ونقطة تانية مهمة ان في مرسيدس عندك كذا مركز خدمة والي ميعجبكش تروح لغيره وكلهم معتمدين فبيبقي في منافسة بين بعض
لكن بي ام دبليو مفيش غير البفارية وده بيخليه ميقدمش خدمة كويسة تليق بعربية محترمة , فقطع الغيار بتكون غالية وعملية الصيانة بطول جامد
performance :
دي بترجع للموتور ووزن العربية لكن في معظم الوقت الاتنين بيبقوا زي بعض ونفس الموتور ونفس القدرة الحصانية بيدي نفس الاداء
بحس ان ثبات الBMW اعلي في الملفات مع مقارنة الفئة E class والفئة الخامسة بس انا مقدرش اقارن الفئة الثالثة مع الفئة C الجديدة عشان مسقتهاش كتير لكن مؤكد ان الفئة الثالثة ثباتها افضل من الC القديمة
بس برضه الملاحظ ان حسب الفترة الي بتشتري فيها
يعني في الفترة دي الC افضل من الفئة الثالثة لحد ما الجديدة تنزل كمان كام سنة لحد ميعملوا تعديلات علي موديل 2009 (الي اتعدل اصلا) لانك هتاخد موتور اقوي بتكلفة اقل
في الفئة الاعلي الخامسة افضل من الE لحد ما الE الجديدة تنزل
كل الفكرة ان الاحدث بتبقي التكنولوجيا افضل

بس المرسيدس القديمة اكتر عشان زمان بي ام دبليو كانت بتشتغل علي عدد لفات موتور اعلي وكانت اقل من المرسيدس لكن حاليا المستوي متقارب
Cost:
المريسدس طبعا اغلي في السعر دائما لما الاتنين يكونوا نفس الفئة بس الميزة الخطيرة في المرسيدس سعر اعادة البيع بيكون حلو اوي لدرجة ان لو حصل تضخم في السوق وده الغالب بتيبيع العربية بسعر الشراء بعد 3-4 سنين او مبتخسرش كتير


وجهة نظر شخصية:
انا شايف ان العربيتين كربون من بعض ويحملوا نفس التكنولوجيا
فكل واحد بيتجه للاحدث وده الغالب يا اما يتجه للمستريحله
لو جيت عربيتين من نفس الفئة ونفس الموديل جنب بعض
هتلاقي الحجم تقريبا واحد والسقف نفس الشكل والحجم والزجاج الامامي والخلفي
كل الاختلاف بيكون في المقدمة والخلف في الشكل وفي بعض الاحيان الرتفاع عن الارض وبرضه انا لاحظت ان جنوط الC والفئة الثالثة سعات بتكون زي بعض مع اختلاف العلامة
انا بشوف بي ام دبليوا رياضية اكتر في وضعية القيادة والثبات ويعيبها انا اقل من مرسيدس كسعر اعادة بيع
وتتميز مرسيدس بالفخامة واكثر راحة عن بي ام دبليو ويعيبها انها منتشرة رغم غلو تمنها يعني الS منتشرة اكتر من الفئة السابعة رغم غلو تمنها وده راجع لشهرتها ودي ميزة في اعادة سعر البيع وعيب ان ممكن تلاقي بواب او جزار راكب مرسيدس
بصراحة انا لو معايا الفلوس الكافية وخيروني بين الC180 وال318 طبعا هختار الC
عشان الموتور اقوي والماني 100% وشكلها احدث (برغم الBMW facelift فالشكل هو هو) وافخم

all what you said makes sense. i just love the bmw 5 series from 2000 till 2003. it is even more authentic than the new bmws.
i discussed with the bmw dealer ship here when i went with my friend to buy an M3 2005 that the newer bmws look a bit cheap from the inside even with the idrive.

he said he totally agree with me about that and that was the impression of most of their customers and the they reported that to germany. they were told that people will get familiar with it.

even reviewers here badly criticized the Z4 and said the interior looks like an old fiat and something has to be done about that.

i think the new C180 will kill the market and it is the best value for the money for the time being in Egypt and bmw 3 series might be hit badly if they didnt do something major (price reduction or newer engines or newer design)

What you just mentioned is absolutely right. Moreover, I heard from MB distributer (unofficially of course) that many of those who paid down payment for the new C200 have changed their reservations to the C180.This clearly indicates customers new trend, within MB products... Not to mention BMW
