Also, consider using a laptop cooling stand. These do not cost very much money and they have fans which will cool your laptop down quickly. Also, they have the benefit of forcing you to have better posture because you use your computer in a more ergonomic manner.

Your laptop's display screen generates a large amount of heat. So if you turn down the brightness when you're in a dark place you can cut down on the amount of heat that is generated. Also, this will help save battery power, which is a benefit if you're going to be away from an electrical outlet for a long time with your laptop and you will not be able to plug in and recharge the battery.

The next step to cooling down your laptop is to move it to a cooler place. For instance, if you've been sitting in the sun, your computer's going to get fast quick so try to move it to someplace where there's air conditioning or a fan.

Your laptop has a certain mode called power saver which helps save battery power. This is also a good way to cool down the computer because it turns down the brightness level. Do you have a lot of applications open on your laptop? If so, this generates heat, so you might wanna turn those down so the computer doesn't have to work quite as hard. Also consider removing some USB devices because they are known to generate a lot of heat.
