90 & 92 Fuel

I have a Lanos 99, when i use 90 fuel i do 200 KM for each 20 Liter in city and 300 KM on high way, when i use 92 fuel i do 150 KM for each 20 liter in city and 250 KM on high way.

Is this a normal consumption or do you think i have a problem with my car, taking in to consideration that i am always driving fast.

Dear Hossam,

There’s no problem and this is totally normal, especially if your car is automatic, even if it’s manual this fuel consumption is still within the reasonable range bearing in mind that the lanos is a bit above average in FC.

And as an advice there’s no need for you to use RON 92 at all in your car as the lanos works just fine with 90 and the only thing you will end up gaining is a loss of money Plus the increased fuel consumption.

[align=left:11e164cbca]This is very normal I noticed this issue also and I asked some experts and they told you me that don't have to use Octane 92 unless it's recomended by the car manufacture but if you like to use 92 it's not problem at all. [/align:11e164cbca]

i beg to differ with both of you... octane 90 is crap, the car sounds like a diesel engine, detonates in acceleration specially if A/C is on, car is slow and i higly doubt that it is the main reason for fouling my injectors

i used to use 90 when i bought the car and 90 was great but since they introduced 92, i am sure the 90 was degraded to force people to use 92... and when people didn't respond to that they rased the price of 90 to be almost equal to 92

in this case it is totally pointless to use 90 toin order to save 4 le per tank and put low grade fuel

Is that mean that the 92 octan fuel's consumption is more than the 90, it seems odd, ithought it is vice versa, and because of that i'm using 92 but now i think that i will recosider and turn again to the 90 octan. but is that right :?: :?: :?:

انا بقى الشاهين بتاعتي بملاها كل حاجه 90 و80 و92 وهمره مافرق معاها حاجه وكله موش بيخليها تشد :lol:
