UK pricing for Renault's new Megane Coupe has now been announced ahead of the order books opening early this month. Launching in January next year, the Megane Coupe will immediately be available in three trim specifications - Expression, Dynamique and Privelege - and with six engines, the line-up expanding further in early 2009.

Starting at £14,475 and rising to £19,195 for the top dCi model, the Megane Coupe range mirrors its five-door counterpart's generous levels of equipment for greatest comfort and practicality. The entry-level specification, Expression, includes 16" sports alloys, a four-speaker 60W CD/Radio sound system, adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel and a keyless entry system. Air-conditioning, six airbags, electric heated body coloured door mirrors and electric front windows are standard across the range.

Dynamique, the specification in which most Megane Coupes are expected to be shipped, is offered with four of the six engines and brings upgrades such as automatic lights and wipers, cruise control, Bluetooth and MP3 connection capabilities to the sound system, leather steering wheel and tinted rear side windows. The 180 hp 2.0-litre TCe model also boasts 17-inch alloy wheels.

In Privelege trim, the Megane Coupe gains 'Spirale' 16-inch alloys, dual zone climate control, electric-folding door mirrors, rear armrest with stowage and rear parking sensors. Privelege is also standard specification for the £18,570 140 hp 2.0-litre model, featuring Renault's first Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT).

Options and the full pricing list are available to view in the accompanying press release. Highlights include a £985 body kit, featuring front, rear and side skirts, and an £840 stereo system upgrade to 120W '3D' sound with USB point from Arkamys.
