question about megane 2001

A friend of me has just got a megane 2001 automatic,
we are confused about a button next to the gear shifter that has a sign of a star!!
has any one noticed it before, or have a knowledge of what it does?

I have the 2005 model and i dont have such a button

:mrgreen: so tell him so hit the button anyway and see what happens

thanks man;
we knew what this button is,
it is used if the whether is snowy, to prevent the wheels from traction i think.
but we werent bothered, the car was sold 2 days after:D

on of our friends was a technichan at a service center, he came and we got every thing related to the electrics of the car out inculding the ECU and the fuse box,but couldnt fint the problem,
the next day a renault techincan came to the car and changed the contact socket, and it worked fine.
but for sure after 8 hours sitting with the car we got furstrated with it, and it was sold the next day!!! :D
