i can't tell about the comfort in travels but i think both will be good.
but the civic will be more stable in highway driving & more stable with cross winds than the renault due too the soft suspension of the renualt compared to the sporty suspension of the civic.

civic is better i was confused before ive got my car and i compare it bet lot of cars including the megane and i guess that the civic tis bettter for lot of things.megane had more options than the civic but civic is more stronger and the engine vtich.more stable and the car is save its price. :-)
