Gmat + Mba

Dear All,

I am currently studying GMAT in preparation for an MBA program.

if anyone is interested in studying GMAT or already has been , it will be very helpful to form a study group.

hoping to hear from any member.

Hey there,kinda off topic but bare it with me please. So does the GMAT really requires a lot of studing to the extent of having a study group ?. The reason of saying this is beacause I'm a fresh graduate of business administration and last year I wanted to apply for the MBA, so I went to the interview and I was shocked at the age of the people......they were all old I was like the youngest one ( keep in mind I have zero work experience and I'm 21 years old). I just thought it was the sort of test that requires a couple of days studing it and thats it

you bet! GMAT is tricky and needs a lot of preparation before sitting for exam.

the whole idea behind the GMAT is to prove to your board of admissions that you have what it takes to enroll in the MBA program which in my opinion is an aggressive , exhausting program.

it is not a good idea at all to enroll in an MBA program with no work experience and a much better alternative for you is a masters in science (MSc) instead of an MBA until you really dive into the real worlds.

On the other hand, it is always an excellent idea to prepare for GMAT , the score is valid for 5 years and it is better to take the exam while you are still fresh and remember all the basic math that you had in college or even in thanawya 3amma ! believe that is a challenge for me now :-)

Well it's kinda of a stupid question, but when do you think is a suitable time for applying to the MBA

Currently not working but hopefully going to get a job soon

majority of MBA schools will ask for 3 years relevant work experience.

some of them don't ask you for any work experience or even GMAT score but the problem is that you will find yourself stuck during the course which is not a pleasant surprise!

The thing is when I went to the interview my friend was also with me, who is also a fresh graduate but he was already working. My friend got above average and passed the GMAT and English tests and currently doing the MBA and I got average and decided to postpone the the tests and the idea of MBA. I paid for the test fees though

MBA stands for Master of Business Administration ماجستير في اداره الاعمال

GMAT stands for Graduate Management Admissions Test الامتحان القبول للmba
على حد علمي و الله اعلم

أولا شكرا على المعلومة
ثانيا حافترض في رد حضرتك حسن النية و إنه هزار بين أخوة مفهوش تريقة
و حارد على سؤالك إلي اخره
الكتير من زمايلي استطاعوا الحصول على درجة إدارية زاي ال-MBA و ديه أتاح ليهم الدخول في إدارة المستشفيات اللي شغالين فيها .....حتى هنا في كندا الهيئات الادارية المسئولة عن إدارة القطاع الطبي برضه مليانة دكاترة اختاروا العمل الاداري و تركوا الممارسة الأكلينيكية
فحبيت أرضي فضولي لمعرفة و سألت إخوة في منتدى هدفه مساعدة الغير
نقطة تانية قالوا زمان إن تعريف المثقف
Someone who knows something about everything
أما تعريف المتخصص
Someone who knows everything about something
Got it؟!

واضح اني خبطت في الكلام
