Auxiliary Input Help
I bought my 2008 Yaris Liftback in August 2008 brand new. The stereo I got is a Toyota 11808 and it has Disc-Aux button on it but I did not get the Auxiliary jack. I would like to listen to my ipod through the car stereo and speakers but I am not sure what I can connect to the toyota stereo to do this. I dont really care much for the cd player if I can somehow disconnect the cd player in the stereo and replace it with the auxiliary jack wire for my ipod that would also be an option. Some help would be much appreciated :).

I found theese 2 plugs right next to the bottom of the shifter box. The 2 plugs where taped together but i cut the tape to extend them.

I dunno why yours is so expensive; that is craziness. When I ordered mine, the guy actually made a point of mentioning that the price had just been reduced from 80-some down to the $30 I paid. He also said something about it being superseded by a different part number, but was still able to find it using the part number below. Maybe check another dealer in your area, and make sure the first dealer isn't trying to sell you the iPod connection kit?

The aux input on my scion tc isn't working properly. I get incomplete sound, similar to how it would sound if the male jack was only partially put into the receiving end.

I'm pretty sure the problem lies with the 1/8" receiving jack mounted onto the board, because if I wiggle the cable going into the jack at exactly the right angle, I get full sound quality. I've tried multiple cables, so the problem almost assuredly lies in the receiving jack.
