the Engineer in Mansour is right; 90 % of the vectra's ABS lamp is on because the ABS control unit fails.
if it is a problem in the speed sensors , then he could solve it easily for you. but this is not the case.
I think abozahra had two solutions:
1) he will bypass the lamp of the ABS and connect it with the lamp of the engine oil. and the customer is happy ever after.
2) he will bridge an outside connection to the valve relay.if you did it you are a brilliant.
but from my experience and work the valve relay problem has no solution other than changing the ABS control unit.
let us see why the problem happens:
the ABS control unit contains micro electronic systems that control the valves of the brake system and so modulating the pressure of the brake fluid on each wheel according to its speed.
due to the fact that we don't clean our braking system and flushing it according to the maintanance manual (and due to the fact that these ABS components come to Egypt not Germany they fail!!). the mechanical valves stuck open or close and then the Solenoid valve burns or the valve relay.
the problem is that the Solenoid valve and the valve relay are in the control unit and sealed for life if you try to open it you must destroy it. i destroyed many of them to learn :)
brake pads ya bash mohands ahmed allawy has no relation with the ABS lamp :).
only the models year 2000 with ecotec engine has a sensor for the brake pads and has a different lamp also yellow lamp.
finally i recommend for my friend to flush and change the brake fluid Circuit in the service station (this will not help but it may help rarely).
then if it still goes on , don't worry the ABS will not work only but the brake system should work efficiently
