fitting a MID hope this helps !!
1 some wire ( aprox 3 metres )
2 wire cutters
3 insulation tape
4 long screwdriver (to push a wire through the wiring gromet in the bulkhead into the engine bay )
5 general screwdrivers to remove dash clocks and tid

right lets get going . firstly remove your dash clocks .to do this you have to take out the middle air vents , the passenger side air vents , the lights switch and the cowling from around the steering column. this allows you to get to the screws that hold the clocks in place .

once all the plastic is removed and the screws are removed you need to gently pull the left and side of the clocks forward and remove the plug from the back of the TID .Then you can remove the clocks and place them out of the way.

now the fun starts !!!

you need to remove your old plug for your TID and replace it with the relevent plug (yellow or grey) for your MID . now dont just chop it off as there are a few wires that are the same coulours .

now for the "ECU injector signal" wire.

this is the one that gets your fuel consumption and range functions on you MID working . for this you have to locate the plug that connects your ecu loom to you your car loom . see bellow

now you have to get the wire that i have cut in this photo and join it to a longer piece that will reach into the car and up behind the dash to your MID ( its the top right wire as your looking at the WIRE side of the plug)

you then run the wire through the wiring gromet in the bulk head through and up behind the dash to your MID plug

now get your dash clocks and swap over your old TID for your MID and put back together ( allways worth trying just the mid first to ensure its all working )
