MMamdouh
The fuel maps will make a difference in open loop mode i think since in closed loop the ecu will keep adjusting the maps to stay at 14.7:1 a/f ratio, but of course open loop is the most important because its simply full throttle, i will go there tomorrow after prayer isa and talk with the electrician and understand what he wants to do and then i'll call you to discuss it and see if there is a chance for it to work or no
that is my concern too... at WOT the O2 signal is ignored and it comes down to maps... i am sure the 1600 got more aggressive maps than the 1350 ECU
MMamdouh
Then i'll just listen to what he wants to do and see if it makes sense, maybe he knows the pinouts and just wants to change the ECU and add the wiring for the VGIS
i have something in mind... do you think that the 1600 ECU got a "more aggressive" map starting from 4500RPM or wherever the hell that VGIS kicks in??
i reckon that with faster and more air going to the engine with the VGIS open their should be an appropriate amount of fuel going to the engine and with WOT situation the extra fuel should be their in a map or so... right??
i know you know more than me when it comes to electronics and maps and stuff but i am trying to follow a logical pattern here
waiting for your feedback
MMamdouh
Well it should have a more agressive map, because as you said air is moving in faster, so if the same amount of fuel is entering the engine, then there will be hidden potential just like our situation now, we have no compensation for the faster air going in but again we don't have VGIS so we are losing alot :D
