again you are quite right as the only case that this is relevent is in trailers and caravans

and the leakage rate is les with nitrogen... as far as i remeber it is 1/3 compared to air so you would check your tires less frequently i.e. at less cost

and as far as 4 tires fillup cost... you only going to pay that every 40k kms when you buy brand new tires :)

Also If I had to top up/reduce pressure with nitrogen, I would have to go to some place that sells it, far more inconvenient to me

As I said earlier if it's free there's really no reason to not do it. Otherwise there's no real benefit

I THINK THIS PRICE IS NOT TOO MUCH FOR THE BENIFITS SHOWN HERE ... I KNOW IT'S TOO MUCH COMPARING THE COST THAT PAID BY THE DEALER HIM SELF BUT IT STILL COUNTS

TWINTY POUNDS FOR THE FIRST TIME ONLY ..,
THEN ONE POUND EVERY ONE MONTH WHEN YOU CHECK THE TIRES
SO ...,
IT'S FOR SIX MONTHS = 26 POUNDS

BUT WITH THE TIRES FILLED WITH AIR YOU WOULD CHECK THE TIRES EVERY WEEK EACH TIME WITH ONE POUND

THAT MEANS IT'S COST FOR SIX MONTHS = 24 POUNDS

WHICH MEANS IN THE END THAT IT WOULD COST YOU ONLY TOW POUNDS OVER THE PRIOD (SIX MONTHS) AND MORE LESS COST ALL THE PEIOD AFTER THAT ALONG THE WAY UNTILL YOU REPLACE THE TIRES

I DIDN'T COUNT THE CASES THAT THE TIRE WOULD NEED ANY FIX TO ANY HOLE IN IT DUE TO OUR LOVELY STREETS COUSE IN THIS CASE THE COST WILL BE SIMILAR

with all due respect, the main idea of inflating tyrs with nitrogen is to make people more concerned about tres pressure and to heck them on regular basis, also there are pressure caps that are pressure sensitive and would give light indications (red and green) if tyres are under pressurised or i they are okay.
and even if u inflate tres with nitrogen, you should check them every week not evey month.
now consider this, not all places got nitrogen available for inflating tyre, and if you travel all the time, like i do, and you need to adjust tyres pressures which are inflated with nitrogen, you will be forced to use normal air, then when U find some1 has nitrogen you will have to deflate all tyres and then reinflate them with nitrogen, so thats another 25 pounds wasted for nothing merely because you are following a fashion and you are too lazy to check your tyres pressure every week

السلام عليكم
أنا حبيت أأقول إنى باستخدم النيتروجين من أكثر من سنة ونص وأنتم ممكن تلاقوه فى مكان به توكيل لشركة Bridgestone سواء فى محطة البنزين اللى فى تقاطع عباس العقاد مع مصطفى النحاس .
إنما بالنسبة لفوائدة الملحوظة إنه لا يتأثر فعلا بدرجات الحرارة العالية أثناء الصيف وبالتالى فلا تحتاج لتظبيط ضغطه قبل 3 شهور أو أكثر على عكس الهواء اللى لو سافرت مثلا وكنت مظبط ضغط إطاراتك على 30 بعد مشوار 150-200 كم هاتلاقيهم 40-45 وبالتالى فالنيتروجين أفضل ، والله أعلم .
