I believe I read before about someone who had a broplem with gearbox, and it was finally fixed, and I am seeking advise

My problem with gear box lies in a loud sound that happens only when I move to the 2 gear -bite or shout- :D

is there any thing to do other than replacing? Thank you for your interest
