Well I was in the same dilema
But I got my Palio ;) for 68.000 ( 1 year and half ago

Aceleração de 0 a 100 km/h (s) (G) 11,3 - (A) 11,
see ? ur pointer accellerates faster than Large 1600 cars ( normaly within 12.6 seconds )

The gen 2 is a hatchback aswell / and it reaches 100 in 10.5 seconds

btw having low weight to maximize speed is not really a great option on high speeds ... the car will feel blobby >

Anyways , I still think its price and spae parts prices are overKILL .

well top speed is 180 in the cataloge i am sure it can do 200
the palio is a great car
there is one in the auto X with 1.6 Litre very fast

believe me weight is the only thing that you cant buy
so its better to modify a lighter car u can easily make it 120+ with some modifacation and for stability just wider tyres and lowered suspension
about the spare parts of course they will be very expensive if they are german
but then they will live longer

indeed , but tunning a low HP-Torque engine will end up only in something like 25-35 hp increase , hp increase are very much related to the size of the engine and its hp >

and even to do that in Egypt , for example my car can go from 83 hp to 100 or so but I need an ECU reprogramming ( which is not avaialbe ) a trademark Exahust system , also not available and a decent complete induction kit > which is hardly available :D

اللى عنده بوينتر او باراتى يركب كتاوت لمفتاح النور عشان بيتحرق

ممكن توضيح اكتر,الموضوع حصل مع حضرتك بس و لا دى حاجة عامة

انا مرة كنت فى التوكيل لقيت واحد معاه باراتي قاللى ان المفتاح شاط عنده ، بعدها بشهر كنت سايق بالنهار يعنى ماكنتش مشغل النور ، لقيت ريحة شياط طالعة م المفتاح و طبعا الكهربا كلها اتلخبطت يعني العدادت وقفت و العالي فضل شغال على جنب واحد و مفيش اشارات طبعا عشان المفتاح اما اتحرق حجر ، اضطريت افصل البطارية لحد مارحت تاني يوم و قالولى ده عيب فى البوينتر و الباراتى مش راكبلهم كتاوت لمفتاح النور و ممكن الموضوع يتكرر ، فانا غيرت المفتاح فى الضمان و ركبت كتاوت بره عند واحد شغال فى الفولكس
