Dear Sir,
This letter is sent on behalf of a group of KIA owners in Egypt. We complain about the unacceptable behavior of your agent EIT regarding our KIA Cerato cars model 2010.
We have bought our cars from your dealer in Saudi Arabia , Kuwait as most of us could not find the required color, specifications and sometime the car itself at EIT(I paid 135000 LE for my car in June 2009 while the same category sold by the agent was only for 126000).
Most of us has enjoyed the service and maintenance of our Gulf Imported cars at the workshops of EIT having a very good standard of service. And about one month ago, EIT began to charge our cars 30% additional costs for each part or service just because we are KIA from another dealer. But three weeks ago we were surprised to read the announcement the “Warning” as written stating that KIA is not responsible for the service and warranty of any KIA car not imported by EIT. And then the week after the “Warning “ was modified to refuse serving the warranty only.
But Surprisingly – again – we called the call center to reserve appointments for the regular maintenance while the customer service told us that we can not have our cars served in KIA workshops anymore.
It is worthy to mention that we search KIA cars because we do trust your brand and are confident in the presence of an adequate technical support in Egypt through your dealer. But many of us had trouble to buy this car from EIT as their sales are keeping lying to customers, we had to wait up to 3-5 months to receive our cars (which are simply available in almost same or now slightly lower price if imported from the gulf). They made us buy these cars. And theses cars are holding the MARK of KIA. How it goes that KIA refuses KIA car for maintenance !!! This is not what we thought about your company which is building a new reputation in Egypt after the years of the failing ex-agent.
We made a collective complaint about this issue to the Consumer Protecting Agency in Egypt which had the power to withdraw 6500 Toyota for gearbox problems 2 months ago. Number of some complaints are [ I_2489, I_2535, I_2552, I_2551, I_2538]
And the next step will be heading to the court of law to sue EIT and KIA for abandoning their responsibilities toward servicing their products. But we really do not wish to go so far and stand against the brand we love and trust.

A useful information to tell , that 3038 KIA cars have been imported to Egypt among these cars , 2142 were Cerato. Compare this number and the number you exported for EIT to calculate the actual number of the Gulf Imported cars. The Punished Products of yours. We are talking for all of these people .
At the end , we do trust that you believe in the simple rights of the customer and you know what is good for both of us.
