srry guys but i think ethylene glycol is used in radiators in very cold weather i mean european countries that are in minus zone to inhibit freezing of water so do we really need it here

yes but in a very diluted form
it acts as a lubricant to the water pump as well and it doesn't have dissolved miniral salts that would preceptate on the coolant passage by time... also it won't rust
try using tap water on a cooling system... one week and it will be the same color as carrot soup
