The Bonalume kit is well known for quality and performance. I have tried it and should positively say amazing and consistent power delivery. The bonalume is a stand alone ECU that is connected to the 2 pressure sensors to adjust their readings and requests the original ECU to increase Turbo Boost and hold it for longer time than the Original map. Therefore, increasing performance with zero risk.

It is considered a parallel ECU, not a piggy Back.

The Kit also comes with a high pressure fuel regulator to adjust fuel pressure return line.

                          Ummmm, Zero Risk !!!!

Maybe it will gain you an Extra 15 or 25 HP, but The engine internals will Wear faster, brake pads too, Fuel consumption will definitely increase !

Think of it that way, if it was that safe, why Fiat didn't do it in the first place !!

It's not that simple you know, if you can live with these cons then it will be okay to do it !

zero risk..it is true...internals won't suffer as the car's internals can afford till 200+ hp an as an example is the essesse version having the same internals and 192hp on dyno!!
considering the fuel consumption it increases the more you flat out the paddle but not the way making you suffer!
brake pades wont wear faster when am having a powerfull engine..it will wear when i push them to the limit and that depends on the driver style and differs from an agrressive driver to another!!
and considering "why fiat didn't do it" i will ask you a couple of questions..why fiat didn't put a sport header? why fiat didn't put sport camshafts?why fiat didn't put a freeflow exhaust?why fiat didn't put a t25 turbine?why fiat didn't fit a bigger engine? and the answer is that u get what u pay..u pay for the bravo 120 and u get it..u pay more u get a slightly bigger turbine with a more sporty map that increase your fuel consumption .. and keep in consideration the eco tests that this cars have to pass so that they take the permission to sell them ..you pay for 120 hp and u modify it...and this device has been tested on many cars before being comercial..and thanks for passing by:)

I respect your opinion of course.....but

Are you 100 % sure that it is the same engine ??? with no modifications to the internals at all ?
                                Turbo size and spec ?

Please if there are any ........ation to support that, i would love to see them :)

Performance Headers>>> with turbo engines, it's not worthy to install a top-notch performance headers, all you need it very smooth inner surface for the primary headers tubes, to direct the Exhaust gases without losing any of it's kinetic energy due to friction !

                                Performance Camshaft>>>>>Who said that they didn't ??

Freeflow Exhaust system>>>>>>>very Noisy...not for Civilized driving conditions....low back pressure, but Extremely noisy , 85 or 90 db Ain't that quite :D

For the turbo size part...they built the engine, and they know how much boost it can take it without compromising fuel consumption or life time, plus the packaging issues of course ...right ?

If this kit will be that harmless as you say...and this engine setup can take up to 200 HP without any damage to the internals ...then simply Fiat would advance the ignition timing a bit, Increase the fuel delivery, and you will get a 150 or 160 more with nearly the same price Range !!!!

Lets say that the t-jet 120 will cost you a110.000 L.E

So...with some playing around with the ECU maps..they can make a t-jet 140 and it will cost you a 115.000 L.E....I have done it before...it's not that hard !

And believe me....it will be a killer car...and they will sell like crazy !!!! if they can do it..they would !

It's not just about the engine....while tuning or modifying your engine, you should think of the Suspension, Brakes, stability, handling, Fuel consumption, Life time of the vehicle.....etc

All am saying that it's not that simple....Playing with factory settings is not for everyone...Zero Risk is not That accurate in my humble opinion !

While searching for any professional ........ation about bonalume piggybacks, i didn't find anything worth reading, do you have any dyno charts or anything related ?

                                Thank You:):)
