excuse me i have 2 questions
1.how can i know the av.weight of the new rim?
And what should it weight for a 16 inch one on a gen2
you have to use a scale... their is a small scale used for weighting food stuff and so and it is rather small... just get the weight of your OEM rim and try to be as close to that weight as possible
2.someone told me that the dimensions of the same size may differ !
So that a 17 " one may fit ...and another one may not on the same car
how much true is this info ?
Thank man and happy ramadan :-)
basically their are two other measurements that affect how a rim fits a car... bolt pattern and offset

bolt pattern is the number of bolts on a rim and the distance between each bolt... if this is not matching your car's bolt pattern then the rim won't fit

the offset is the distance between the center of the rim and the mounting hub... if you got an inappropriate offset the rim will fit but you might get rubbing problems either on the suspension or on the fender lip depending on the offset difference.

are you sure of the OEM size you mentioned??? i was under the impression that the yaris came standard with 195/60/15 tires

please double check and correct me if i am wrong

if you are sure of the OEM tire size then the best matching tire size for a 16" rim and 205 width is 205/50/16

those tires will be a bit smaller so your speedo will be a bit off the scale

also this will make the ride a bit stiffer but the cornering stability will improve

use the correct tire size with respect to the rim size

well... the speedo is monitoring the wheel RPM and converting it to speed so it is a matter of speed sensor signal and that usual cones from a sensor installed on the transmission... their is too little to do here to fix that

anyways the difference will be minimalistic... maybe 2 or 3 KPH more or less so it is not really horrifying difference
