we would never recommend any additional additives be applied to our oil. Everything you need to keep your engine protected is already contained in the oil and if you keep it topped up and changed on time it should be quite capable of providing all the protection and performance you need.
Modern engine oils are a very careful balance of a base oils and additives blended to work with each other ( a bit like a perfect football team ). If you start adding extra components you may upset this balance and the oil may then not work as intended. ( think of adding someone who cant play football to the team – what is that going to do for the performance )
also – many oil additives are surface active, and if you start adding things that alter the surface technology – the additives may not be able to work properly and your engine may be less protected and worst case scenario, the engine may be damaged if the oil can’t do its proper task.
I suggest use good quality oil such as the magnatec, keep it topped up and changed on time – that’s all you really need for best protection and performance.Speranza A516 / Chery A5
