My car arrived at a NJ dealer last week and I though they were being made in Alabama but the sticker inside my driver side door says it was made in Korea. The date was 5-11-2012. Seems like an awfully long time to reach the dealer even if it was coming From Korea?
I thought they were all being produced in Alabama?
Where were others 2012's made?

My new 2012 elantra ltd w/tech pkg is set to arrive at the Joe Machens dealership in Columbia, MO. They said they have a few more coming this week. I worked with Tim Pippen . He was well informed and a good guy to work with if anyone is looking for the tech pkg. My vin # starts with a K , so mine was made in Korea. I would have loved to support the Alabama plant but from what I am reading they are very busy.

Yes, My Korean made car has Hankook's.
I'm sure parts content will vary depending upon cost where it is built. Perhaps more American parts content in Alabama built cars from a parts source nearby

Mine was built in Alabama and has the continental tires.

I asked a dealer if they could choose a Korean (VIN start with a K) built or US built (VIN starts with a 5). They said yes. So it's good to know I can choose.
