i.o.p was 12 about 11.30 am and dr said she has infection and gave here
FML for 3 days only and
TRILLERG eye drops
they said it is some sort of infection and saying there is (nodules) on everting eyelid!
about allergy she is already allergic to some drugs(sulfa) and certain foods(chocolate), and uses telsast or claritine in such cases
so,is it a strong type of allergic conjunctivitis or eye drops hypersensetivity?
and do u advice to short term local steroids and antiallergic
?
and do we need more investigations?
thanks a lot sr sherif and jazak ALLAH khairan
Thank you for your nice complements.
If it's an infection as they say ?? why would they give steroids (FML : Flourometholone, a weak steroid) ?? Why would he give a vasoconstrictive with a lubricant added to it (Trillerg), it's a weak antihistaminic.. this doesn't coincide with he presumed diagnosis...
Also nodule on everting the lid ?? I would suspect also a chalazion... if so, then the treatment is incomplete.
Regarding the IOP it's normal inthe second measurement. I would suspect that you mother squeezed her eyes a little bit during the first exam..
I'll send you a pm, pleae read it . thanks
