it is an approximation to what you are going to get after boosting but that is not accurate as their is so many variables involved than the ones included in this formula
the very same variables that makes two 2000 cc engines pump different power outputs... we are talking intake design, fuel management, combustion chamber shape and size, compression ratio, number of valves, cam profiles and timing, ignition timing, exhaust design... it is practically every bit and piece of the engine
bottom line is: nothing will tell you the real HP of your car except a dyno... anything short of that is just mere speculation

you got that right but i was talking about turboing the stock components so fuel management and other mod. are yet to be made.
by the way i heard that the 1.6 L woo engines are pretty strong i wonder how much boost it could handle safely

well... i don't have that kind of information for the 1.6 engine but for the 2.0 we were running up to 10 PSI with no problems and their is a guy in Poland with a 2.0 nubira station wagon running 12PSI on stock internals... but he tuned the car using SMT7 so he got less issues to worry about thaN WE DO

i guess then that you will have further info after turboeing "el bob's" i saw his profile on cardomain.com and he said that he was after the redtops but he changed his mind after he found out that it will be difficult to maintain
so he was after 1.6L and then turboeing it
by the way there isn't any further info since the ECU issue how far have you reached now

you got that right... currently we are at the engine management phase and i think Ehab is very close in making a decision concerning what management system to use
as for the ECU we got one version for the 1.6 engine that has no immobilizer and it is working fine
